Edmond: The Last Days of the Dinosaurs

Framed properly

The temporary exhibition “Edmond: The Last Days of the Dinosaurs” at the Senckenberg Natural History Museum in Frankfurt am Main presents the Edmontosaurus as the central figure in a journey through the world of the Late Cretaceous. The exhibition aims to show dinosaurs not in isolation, but as part of a complex ecosystem. It challenges popular portrayals that depict dinosaurs as monsters, instead favouring scientifically grounded, contextual storytelling. A key focus is the mass extinction event – explored both as a historical and cultural phenomenon. For visitors, “Edmond” serves as an emotional point of identification, prompting reflection on our contemporary relationship with nature and encouraging a deeper understanding of natural history as a dynamic, evolving process.
