Dresden Palace

Art in every corner

As refined as the art on display and visible from every angle – the signage system in Dresden Castle guides visitors safely and efficiently through the twisting floor plan of the complex building and the four museums that it houses. For maximum visibility the signs have been positioned in a way that incorporates visual axes and spatial boundaries. The premium character of the wayfinding system arises from the materiality of the letters and pictograms: the diamond-shaped material is set into acrylic glass, making it a minor artwork in its own right. The information panels plasticity emphasises the uniqueness of the site and guide visitors from around the world through the history of Saxony.
