Deutsches Hygiene-Museum Dresden

Where the human aspect is not lost

The broad, open look at socially-relevant issues is characteristic of the exhibitions at the Deutsches Hygiene Museum Dresden and stands in seeming contrast to the clinical nature suggested by the museum name. In similar contrast to the severe architecture of Wilhelm Kreis (renovation by Peter Kulka) an unobtrusive signage system in red leads visitors through the rooms. The pictograms consist of stylised silhouettes, not geometric symbols: human beings truly are the focal point of this museum.
